Strategy and growth
Setting direction, choosing where to compete and finding the next stage of growth.

Independent management consulting
NorthRidge works with business owners, leadership teams and investors on strategy, transactions and performance — from framing the question through to delivering the result.
Who we are
NorthRidge is an independent management consulting and transaction advisory firm. We help organisations assess opportunities, work through difficult decisions and turn the chosen course into practical action — whether that is a new strategy, an acquisition, a fundraising or a programme to improve performance.
One party per mandate, no products to sell and no stake in the outcome — so our advice can be candid.
Financial, commercial and market analysis you can see, test and challenge before you decide.
Every recommendation is tested for feasibility, sequencing and ownership — and we can stay to help.
Our services
Most engagements draw on more than one, because the questions businesses face rarely respect functional boundaries.

Setting direction, choosing where to compete and finding the next stage of growth.

Acquisitions, disposals, diligence and the capital to fund them.

Improving margin and cash, and reshaping the organisation to deliver the strategy.

Business plans, financial models and internal valuations that decisions can rely on.

Our approach
Four stages keep every engagement anchored to the decision you need to make — and keep you in control of it.
Stage 01
Define the real question.
We start by understanding what you are trying to decide, why now, and what a good outcome looks like. We agree objectives, constraints, stakeholders and the evidence the decision will need.
Stage 02
Build the evidence.
We assess the financial, commercial, operational and market information relevant to the question — testing assumptions rather than accepting them, and modelling scenarios to understand what could change the answer.
Stage 03
Recommend with conviction.
We set out the options, the trade-offs between them and a clear recommendation. Our advice is candid, evidence-based and written for the people who must make and own the decision.
Stage 04
Carry the decision through.
Where you want continued support, we help translate the decision into action — implementation planning, transaction or programme management, negotiation support and performance review, within an agreed scope.
How we engage
A specific question, a clear scope and a fixed timetable — such as a strategic review, internal valuation, due diligence or feasibility study.
A trusted outside perspective for owners, boards and leadership teams, available as decisions arise over the year.
Working alongside your team to deliver a transaction, a transformation programme or an integration until the work is done.
Industries
Every industry has its own economics, risks and vocabulary. We take the time to understand what makes your market different.

40+
Experience
Our experience is collective — built across strategy, corporate finance, transactions and operating roles by the members of our team, not held by any single adviser.
Insights

Most acquisitions that disappoint were decided too early. A short discipline before the first approach changes the odds.

Why the most useful internal valuations explain their reasoning — and how owners can use that reasoning to build value.

Family enterprises that plan transitions early protect both the business and the family. Here is where to start.
